This composition was first recorded in 1952 by the “Conjunto Sinfónico de Luis Aníbal Granja”. Since then, it has been played a lot, especially by typical Ecuadorian horn bands, Bandas de Pueblo. This is an adaptation for 6 female voices, all of them sung by Maria, using different vocal sounds to imitate leaf instruments as well as various rhythms from different countries of Latin-America.
